Saree #17/2019 #kiraan
My last evening in himachal. Dining in party , an interesting ritual to meet and greet the new commanding officer by the unit officers. An evening of getting to know everyone over cocktails and and a five course meal . Like most parties the topics are varied and endless, so by the end of the evening there is a familiarity and the beginnings of a bonding which will only grow in the next three years.
After the humid weather of Goa and the road trip to himachal , the pleasant weather was a blessing . It rained for a good 12 hours and the mountain rains can be quite furious , the dip in weather had us scurrying for our shawls and jackets .
My saree for this evening is a black georgette with Kashmiri hand embroidery on the border and tiny motifs . Jewelry is my own brand.
