Dinner at a friends beautiful home. Aesthetics is as much a part of the homes of defense officers as is the elaborate five course menu. Conversation flows over cocktails about the places lived in and experiences gathered. Home cooked delicacies will be served on the best of cutlery by efficient staff and a proud hostess who is in her elements organizing parties.
One comes back from such gatherings enriched with stories of valor and tough living conditions which is as much a part of life as are the lovely gatherings.
My saree for the evening was a double ikat in black, red and white with a pair of oxidized danglers and a silver ring.
